OUR METHODS

Conservation Outcomes deploys the following methods to help achieve protected area territorial integrity:

• Conducting preliminary in situ strategic needs assessments, incorporating extensive threat analyses
• Developing Protected Area Strategic Security Operations Plans, in collaboration with management
• Developing a specific site’s training needs
• Implementing on-site training; of which 30% is theory and 70% practical
• Assessing students through practical examinations, written/oral
• Offering periodic re-assessment/refresher courses
• Providing the client with written reports, constituting overall course summary and individual assessments of participants
• Overseeing initial deployment and management of operational staff in giving effect to strategic plan
• Placing highly-experienced mentors who, in collaboration with the respective Protected Area Manager, will carry out the Strategic Security Operations Plan and ensure its sustainability
