Founder and Managing Director

Brian brings more than 40 years of experience in African protected-area management, wildlife conservation and conservation law enforcement. His career has included operational and senior leadership positions in the former Natal Parks Board, Kruger National Park, Timbavati Private Nature Reserve and Tanzania's Grumeti Reserves, covering wildlife management, community outreach, anti-poaching and security operations. His contribution to conservation has been recognised through multiple awards.

His work spans strategic security assessments, operational planning, field ranger recruitment, selection and training, and the implementation of conservation law-enforcement programmes to restore and maintain protected-area integrity. Brian established African Field Ranger Training Services before founding Conservation Outcomes in 2008. A distinguished former Special Forces operator, he remains directly involved in the assessment, planning and delivery of the organisation's work. Under his leadership, Conservation Outcomes has built a dedicated, full-time team whose members have established careers and operational expertise in conservation and law enforcement.

Julius brings 20 years of experience in conservation law enforcement, field ranger development and training, and field operations. His career has included leading a dedicated rapid-reaction and intelligence unit in the Lower Zambezi Valley, where he gained extensive experience in intelligence-led anti-poaching operations across terrestrial and riverine environments.

He applies this field experience to field ranger selection and training, patrol leadership and advanced field operations. Julius was first runner-up for the 2020 Rhino Conservation African Field Ranger Award. He is fluent in English, French, Bemba, Nyanja and Portuguese.

André is a conservation law enforcement professional with more than 20 years of experience across Southern, Central and East Africa. A former protected-area manager, he holds a National Diploma and Bachelor's Degree in Nature Conservation, together with a certificate in Business Management. His work spans strategic needs assessments, security and operational planning, programme preparation, curriculum and training design and delivery, quality control and oversight, and client and management liaison.

His expertise includes anti-poaching operations, patrol leadership, tactical training, leadership development and field mentorship, supported by broader advisory and management experience. André is fluent in English, Afrikaans and Swahili, with basic proficiency in Portuguese.

Masozi has 20 years of experience in field ranger work, wildlife management and ranger development. A former field ranger, he holds qualifications in wildlife and ranger management.

He has a proven record as a field ranger trainer, conducting field ranger recruitment and selection and delivering Basic Field Ranger Training, Advanced Tactical Training and Patrol Leaders Training across Southern, Central, East and West Africa. His assignments include Gorongosa, Maputo and Chimanimani National Parks in Mozambique, and Gashaka-Gumti and Okomu National Parks in Nigeria. He is fluent in English, Portuguese, Bemba, Nyanja and Swahili.

Grant coordinates Conservation Outcomes' operations, projects and training across terrestrial and marine environments. His experience includes protected-area security assessments, management and operational planning, field ranger recruitment, screening and development, marine protected-area and coastal law enforcement, small-boat operations, water safety, and search and rescue.

He has delivered planning, training and law-enforcement assignments in terrestrial and marine protected areas across South Africa, Botswana, Mozambique, Nigeria and Saudi Arabia. Grant is an active and certified Rescue Coxswain, airborne rescue swimmer and marine search-and-rescue technician. He is fluent in English, with basic proficiency in Portuguese, Afrikaans and isiZulu.

Elton is a field ranger instructor with extensive operational experience at Gorongosa National Park, where his career progressed through roles including field ranger, patrol leader, in-service instructor, Special Unit Intelligence Team Leader and Head of Discipline. His expertise includes ranger selection and training, conservation law enforcement, patrol planning and intelligence-led operations.

He applies this field experience through Conservation Outcomes, delivering Basic Field Ranger Training, Patrol Leaders Training and specialist training in areas including unarmed combat, dangerous game handling and middle-management procedures. Elton is fluent in Portuguese, English, Sena, Ndau and Shona.

Kerry Jerome

Administrative and Financial Manager

Kerry manages finance, administration, contracting, HR, programme management and logistics for Conservation Outcomes. She is responsible for budgets, financial oversight and reporting, client and partner reporting, and travel and deployment logistics, including flights, accommodation and associated arrangements.

She coordinates the administrative, financial and operational support required for the professional delivery of training and advisory programmes across Africa and supports the organisation's international operations. Kerry is fluent in English and Afrikaans.
